My name is Oda Meiberg. I live in Amsterdam, I have a partner and we have two children. My journey in the alternative medicine world started just before my father past away. I was 22 and I discovered the healing power of Reiki and learned it at the levels of Reiki 1 and 2. I started my training as a Watsu therapist in 2008. In 2011 I obtained my Certificate in Western Medical Studies. In 2012 I successfully completed my education in foot reflexology. In 2012 I also became a member of the professional organisation LVNT. Since 2015 I have been an official certified Shiatsu Therapist.
For me, foot reflexology, Shiatsu and Watsu are related. They all have to do with the operation of the energy meridians in the body, and with the removal of energy blockages. Watsu, Shiatsu and foot reflexology are methods of treatment that are based on body awareness. I like to combine all three. Helping people feeling better within a treatment, gives me a lot of satisfaction. I also like to work with pregnant women.
Because of my own experience with carrying pregnancies and giving birth to a child I am quite able to empathise with a pregnant woman. During my pregnancies I kept working and studying. So I know how hard it can be to combine a job and pregnancy – full agendas and the stress that comes with it all.
The last 5 years I am present at births. My Doula training was at the Red Tent UK.
